Amazing Couture Designer

Well it’s that time of the year again when a lot of man hours and many late nights seem to take over our run up to our Christmas holidays, anyway it turns out to be well worth it, having the privilege of working with one the the most prominent couture designers in the world, Nicholas Oakwell.
We had the privilege of working with Nicholas last season also, supplying him with a variety of hand dyed feathers . The process started with a personal visit from Nicholas where we discussed the many feathers available that we use in our showgirl designs and our bespoke headpieces. Selecting a choice of ostrich, pheasant and goose, we then worked closely with Nicholas achieving the specific colours required. Once the several hundreds of metres were ready they were sent to Nicholas Oakwell Couture and were then feather by feather, individually stitched on by hand,to produce the most beautiful feather coats.

So as soon as the new season collection has been showed (17th Jan 2013) we will endevour to post an update on the site giving you the privilidge of seeing the most amazing use of feathers yet, the colours and texture that will be used are truely amazing and we at Maxine’s Feathers a really exited is seeing the finished products

Take That Kidz Manchester

After supplying Take That with costumes on all three tours since their come back, Maxine’s Feathers had the pleasure in supplying the costumes for the most visual part of the concert, the theme was visualised round a chess game, Maxine’s Feathers design the headdresses using new materials and procedures which gave us a bit of a headache but as you can see, it was all worth it.

Carrie Ann Odell, one of the UKs best Dita Von Teese tribute performers and burlesque acts around. For a number of years Carrie has been performing in clubs in London and around the UK. Carrie pays particular attention not only to her performance but also to he quality and accuracy f her costumes. Attached is an example of a costume we supplied , and I’m sure you will agree , she does wear it well !

Out and about in Leeds , why not visit the Viaduct Showbar, great show and open till late, and to top it all , you’ll see some amazing costumes made by Maxine’s Feathers. Be sure to tell them that Maxine sent you and I’m sure you’ll be looked after !

It’s All About Them Dam Dames !

Well it’s that time of the year again when handsome young men become not so pretty old ladies, so it would only seem right to tell you about three special dames who are getting great reviews entertaining the young and the old at this festive time of the year, firstly there is Mr Rodney Ward at the Shaw Theatre London

And also Mr Jamie Morris and Mr Tarot Joseph at the Grand Theatre Blackpool

Both shows are defiantly worth a visit, so get the children, nieces, nephews, or grand children out the cupboard dust them down, and use them as an excuse to visit one of these great shows !

Coming soon the team at Maxine’s Feathers are spending a considerable time in creating new showgirl feather designs. New Beginnings For Maxine’s Feathers

Fantastic news for all at Maxine’s Feathers, we have been approached to design new costumes for a new venture opening in Las Vegas, this is a great opportunity for us and we have been so excited since the news came through. Our client has pushed our showgirl feathers to a number of venues in Vegas and is confident that what we do is second to none ! The venue has also had samples of finished feather headdresses and feather harnesses to review and is amazed at the vast difference there is from what he has bought in the past , so fingers crossed and here’s hoping that a small albeit, large in quality company from the UK can conquer the Vegas Showgirl scene
